Simplify your life and reclaim your space.
Ready to feel lighter and more organized at home? Downsizing doesn’t mean giving up comfort or the things you love, it means making room for what matters most.
This step by set downsizing guide walks you through every room, from closets to the kitchen, so you can declutter with confidence!
I’ve moved so many times over the course of my life. So I consider myself a professional organizer, declutter and downsizer!
I have had great luck in posting items on Facebook Marketplace. It’s a side hustle and can be time consuming, but it definitely pays off in the end.
Start slow and schedule days on your calendar to tackle 1-2 rooms at time. One room, one drawer, one day at a time.
Put on some good tunes and have fun with it!
Here are the key areas of your home to help you get started and stay on track
KITCHEN
Keep 1-2 sets of dishes
Limit glassware to just the essentials - water, wine, and mugs

Reorganize shelves and purchase storage bins to separate, so everything has a place and is easy to find

FURNITURE
Keep furniture items you love and use often
Replace cushions if they are stained or worn out, take to a local upholstery shop to do this
Sell or donate items that are taking up space or cluttering the room, such as furniture given by others that you didn’t choose yourself
Let go of furniture you don’t love, it’s all energy taking up space in your home
DONATION DROP OFF STRATEGY
